As a combination gunship and troop transport the Mi-24 has no direct NATO counterpart. While UH-1 "Huey" helicopters were used in Vietnam either to ferry troops, or were used as gunships. They were not able to do both at the same time.

They wanted to modernitis this helicopter for the US Marine Corps. They the veteran fleet of Bell AH-1W Super Cobra helicopters. The AH-1Z Viper has essentially evolved into a new aircraft. Making it much better.

The Tiger is an attack helicopter manufactured by Eurocopter. In Germany it is known as the Tiger. In France and Spain it is called the Tigre. This helicopter is a very seccesful helicopter and has a very sweet look to it.

New Zealand Air Force has unveiled three new AgustaWestland AW109 light utility helicopters. They will replace its Bell 47 Sioux helicopter for pilot training. This helicopter will be used to tain new pilots for New Zealand.

Russia is looking to join Eurocopter and Sikorsky in the race to commercialise a high-speed helicopter. With the allocation of $1.3 billion in government cash to support development of the helicopter. They thought of two different designs and haunt choin witch one there going to use yet but both have a very well thought out design.

On 5/5/11 A Russian private pilot flying a Robinson R44 helicopter tried for 90min to hide the fact that his helicopter had been destroyed. It was destroid in a heavy landing following a birdstrike. According to an accident report by the CIS Interstate Aviation Committee.
